It’s the one stop shop for amazing designer threads at prices marked to clear. Th
e Designer Garage, notoriously known as being like high street on sale all in one room, is back for another year providing Auckland’s fashionistas with the rare opportunity to get their hands on heavily discounted designer clothing.
In celebration of the New Zealand Fashion Festival, The Designer Garage Sale is set to take place March 26th and 27th at the new location of Shed 6, 90 Wellesley Street, Auckland City.
This March we’ve decided to make waive the usual entry fee! (usually $15) and instead make it a gold coin donation for charity, soon to be announced.
Already booked and planning their sale are Stolen Girlfriends Club, Chaos & Harmony, Federation, Kathryn Wilson, Trix & Dandy by Michael Pattison, Sabatini, TK Store and many more!! We have to say we’re chuffed to have the gorgeous and talented Turet Knuefermann joining us for this sale. She really is a wonderful talent and has some stunning slinky, sexy fashion to add to the mix.
Check back soon for more designer announcements!

This label is contemporary, affordable (nothing over $300), is kind to nature and right on trend. She uses beautiful silks, linens and cottons, and has her own original prints, making her items very exclusive.
Sold in the premier store, VINCENT and chain store, Hartleys, Laurinda also has her beautiful Kiwi designs scattered throughout special boutiques in New Zealand.
The name, Loobie came from a “pet” name her husband called her after seeing a Persil ad. Featuring a cute little Ragdoll called Loobie, it reminded him of Laurinda; big eyes, big hair and cute clothes.
The rag trade is right behind Laurinda forging out her new collections, as she has a huge reputation from so many years of contributing design excellence to the New Zealand and Australian market.
Her first collection, “A Life Well Lived,” definitely has a resort feel to it with practical fabrics, lengths and purpose. Jersey silks in khaki, blues and lime; silk cotton voile in Orchid, Carnation and Indigo; beautiful 100 percent cotton garments of Spring Watermelon and Sky Blue; and delicate silk chiffon in Flying Lotus and China Girl white.
Sutcliffe’s pant and jacket shapes are cut well for Kiwi shapes. She understands that fashion needs to celebrate trends but that life is messy and busy and complicated, and often short for time. Laurinda’s life changed when she took time out. Suddenly, she was dropping the kids off again and racing to a school event or kids’ game – “Clothes need to follow life, not our lives to follow clothes.”
Clever layering pieces see you transform a sundress into a belted tunic and pants for dinner. I can’t wait to buy my first piece – or three. The collection is available end
of August.

Cushla Reed has launched her brand new eponymous label under the Minx brand and the reaction couldn’t be better!
These new shoes are flirty, fashion forward and as Cushla says “expose more passion than I’ve ever allowed myself to show before.”
“They need to be tried to be believed.”
You can read more about Cushla’s step in a new direction online on Thread or on Lucire.
Key Issues from Last Year:
There were a broad range of questions brought to the Certified Renovations team last year ranging from product choice to budgets and project scope to handling council requirements. Popular with the trend of Future Proof Building the team also fielded many queries around heating choices, window treatments and insulation.
The high number of renovation proposals brought forward compared to new building queries highlighted the trend to work with what you have during the recession.
